Electrical Utility Improvements at the Brayton Fire Training Field Project No. 070939969
Legal Advertisement Scope: Install underground 15 kV distribution system replacing aerial 15 kV distribution system serving the Brayton Fire Training Field. Installation to include primary riser pole; manholes; concrete encased duct banks; 15 kV cables; owner-furnished vacuum sectionalizing switches; pad mounted transformers; and modifications to existing underground distribution system. Install underground secondary distribution systems (480V/3-phase; 208V/3-phase) serving the various buildings and other facilities located throughout the Brayton Fire Training Field. Installation to include direct buried duct bank; 600V secondary service conductors as well as feeder conductors; and service entrance panelboards and/or switches. Demolish aerial 15 kV distribution system serving the Brayton Fire Training Field. Demolish/modify secondary service equipment and associated distribution. Subcontracting: All work will be awarded under a single prime contract. Texas A&M University has determined a HUB Subcontracting Plan (HSP) is required for this project. The following potential subcontracting opportunities are probable on this project: construction services; carpenters; cement masons, concrete finishers and terrazzo; electricians – construction, power line and construction, utility underground projects; excavation services; painters; plumbers; surveyors; welders, structural steel; blue printing services. This list is not a comprehensive list of all subcontracting opportunities for this project. The Bidder is responsible for identifying all types of potential subcontracting work.
