Addition to the Becky Gates Children's Center Project No. 060550549
Legal Advertisement Scope: Construct an addition and renovations to the TAMU Becky Gates Children’s Center. The project will include the addition of a 3,400 sq ft. multi-purpose room and other renovations to the interior and exterior of the existing Children’s Center. Subcontracting: All work will be awarded under a single prime contract. Texas A&M University has determined a HUB Subcontracting Plan (HSP) is required for this project. The following potential subcontracting opportunities are probable on this project: construction services; carpenters; carpet, floor and tile installers and finishers; cement masons, concrete finishers, and terrazzo; drywall installers and finishers; electricians; glaziers, glass services, new construction; building insulation contractor and suspended acoustical ceiling; pipe insulators; metal stud; mechanical and HVAC; painters; plasterers and stucco masons; plumbers; roofers; sheet metal workers and duct installers; sprinkler installers; tile layers; welders, structural steel. This list is not a comprehensive list of all subcontracting opportunities for this project. The Bidder is responsible for identifying all types of potential subcontracting work. Bid Submittal: Proposal and HUB Subcontracting Plan (HSP) must be received by the Contracting & Programming office in Room 213 of the Physical Plant Administration Building prior to 2:00 p.m., February 5, 2008. Public bid opening will follow. Proposal/HSP Deadline: 2:00 p.m., February 5, 2008 Project Estimate: $500,000 - 735,000 NOTE: Attached are the Specifications, Drawings, and any issued Addenda for this project.
